Después de participar en las conferencias de Movimiento de Ciudadanía Global de Johannesburgo, Javier Collado viajó a Ciudad del Cabo, donde se encontró con el ex-Presidente de África del Sur, el Sr. Frederik Willem de Klerk. En el acto oficial, el Sr. de Klerk se convirtió en el Socio de Honor de la ONGD Educar para Vivir.

Sr. de Klerk fue Premo de la Paz Félix Houphouët-Boigny en 1991, Premio Príncipe de Asturias en 1992, y también Premio Nobel de la Paz en 1993 junto a Nelson Mandela por su papel en la finalización de la segregación racial.

El Ex-Presidente de Klerk ya había participado en la primera edición de Global Education Magazine, con motivo del Día Internacional para la Erradicación de la Pobreza (17 Oct. 2012), donde publicó «África del Sur es una de las sociedades más desiguales del mundo«.

20 años después de su nominación como premio nobel, en Noviembre de 2013, la ONGD Educar para Vivir reconoció su contribución distintiva en el proceso de construcción de paz desarrollado durante largos años de su vida. El Sr. de Klerk representa un gran ejemplo de los valores compartidos por los miembros del equipo de la ONGD Educar para Vivir y, por esta razón, es bienvenido para obtener el más alto grado de honor en nuestra institución sin ánimo de lucro. De hecho, es un gran orgullo y satisfacción.

After attending Global Citizens Movement conferences in Johannesburg, Javier Collado traveled to Cape Town, where he met the ex-President of South Africa, Mr. Frederik Willem de Klerk. In the official act, Mr. de Klerk became Honorary Member at Education for Life NGO.

Mr. de Klerk was Félix Houphouët-Boigny Peace Prize in 1991, Prince of Asturias Award in 1992, and also Nobel Peace Prize in 1993 along Nelson Mandela for their role in the ending of apartheid.

Ex-President de Klerk joined Global Education Magazine at its first edition in International Day for the Eradication of Poverty (October 17th, 2012), where he published «South Africa is one of the most unequal societies in the world«.

After 20 years of his nobel nomination, in November 2013, Education for Life NGO recognized his distinctive contributions in peacebuilding process during long years of his life. Mr. de Klerk represent a big example of values shared by team members of Education for Life NGO and, for that reason, he is welcome to become the highest grade of membership in our Non-profit institution. It is, in fact, a big pleasure and satisfaction.
