Global Education Magazine es una revista educativa de carácter internacional que pretende promover ideas y experiencias del trabajo de profesionales de la educación, así como de las ONGs, Asociaciones de Voluntariado, instituciones Supranacionales, Nacionales, Regionales y locales que luchan cada día para alcanzar los Objetivos de Desarrollo del Milenio para 2015 y 2025 formulados por las Naciones Unidas (ODM).
Reflexionar sobre el valor y la significación de educación en la era globalizada del siglo XXI exige abordar las dinámicas mundiales (económicas, políticas, culturales, sociales, educativas, etc.) con nuevas formas de cooperación y organización social democrática que respondan al desafío de la gobernabilidad de una sociedad cosmopolita. Por ello, consideramos que las sociedades en red favorecen una mejor concientización sobre los problemas de carácter local-global y global-local: los “problemas glocales”.
Nuestra misión es establecer un punto de encuentro entre los diferentes agentes educativos de todo el mundo, para proporcionar nuevas oportunidades de creación, difusión e intercambio de experiencias y conocimientos multi, inter y transdisciplinares que sirvan para la formulación y organización de un nuevo pensamiento complejo y un sentimiento humanista y filantrópico para interpretar el mundo actual, respetando su plena diversidad cultural, puesto que la paz, la erradicación de la pobreza y el desarrollo sostenible sólo podrán ser el resultado de la equidad, brotada del aprecio y respeto a la diversidad cultural.
Esta pluralidad se halla intrínseca en nuestra filosofía de trabajo y nuestra visión holística de la educación internacionalista, ya que permitimos la publicación de artículos en cualquier lengua oficial, pues consideramos que sustenta la fuente de vida y equidad de una sociedad-mundo multi e intercultural.
¿Sobre qué bases podemos establecer una sociedad-mundo que fuese fuente de desarrollo para todos y, en especial, para los países menos desarrollados?
Global Education Magazine pretende crear nuevas formas de solidaridad entre los diferentes agentes educativos que luchan para alcanzar los ODM, así como la sensibilización y concientización de la sociedad-mundo, actual y futura, sobre los «problemas glocales».
Un deseo que exige la integración de una nueva ética fundada en el respeto a los diferentes, e implica decisión, voluntad política, movilización y organización de todos los agentes educativos para potenciar un pensamiento dinámico, crítico y generador de nuevas ideas que promuevan un desarrollo económico y social, encaminadas a crear un mundo mejor en el futuro: sin exclusión social, miseria, racismo y dominación económica.
En resumen, Global Education Magazine pretende divulgar experiencias educativas creativas, transversales e innovadoras de ámbito formal, no formal e informal, que rompan con los actuales paradigmas positivistas y tecnocráticos del pasado que reducen a nuestros estudiantes a ciudadanos pasivos y consumidores acríticos, pues tenemos como horizonte educativo, la libertad y la emancipación del ser humano en cualquier caso y rincón del mundo.

Global Education Magazine is inspired by universal values of the Declaration of Emerging Human Rights that aims to contribute to achieve the Millennium Development Goals by United Nations (MDGs) which is supported by the Regional Offices of Latin America and the Caribbean of UNESCO and UNHCR. An initiative launched by the teaching team that formulated the proposal most voted in the group “Sustainable Development for the Eradication of Poverty in Rio+20”. Reflecting on the value and significance of education in the globalized era of the 21st century requires tackling global dynamics (economic, political, cultural, social, educational, etc.) with new forms of cooperation and democratic social organization to respond to the challenge of governance in a cosmopolitan society. Therefore, we consider that the new network societies promoting a better awareness of the problems of a local-global and global-local: the “glocal issues”.
Our mission is to establish a meeting point between different educational agents from all around the world. We wish to provide new opportunities for creation, dissemination and exchange of experiences and multi, inter and transdisciplinary knowledge that serve for formulation and organization of a new, complex thinking and humanistic and philanthropic feeling to interpret the currently world, respecting their cultural diversity fully, because the peace, poverty eradication and sustainable development can only be the result of equity, sprouted from the appreciation and respect for cultural diversity.
This plurality is intrinsic in our work philosophy and our holistic vision of the internationalist education, because we welcome the publication of articles in any official language. This sustains the source of life and the equity of the multi and intercultural society-world. For that reason, publishing your articles will be free!
On what basis we can establish a society-world that was a source of development for all and, especially, for less developed countries?
Global Education Magazine aims to create new forms of solidarity between the different educational agents that are struggling to achieve the MDGs, as well as awareness of world-society, present and future, on the “glocal issues”.
A desire that requires the integration of a new ethic based on respect for differences, involves decision, political will, mobilization and organization of all educational agents to foster a dynamic and critical thinking that generate new ideas which promote economic and social development. This is aimed to create a better world in the future: without social exclusion, destitution, racism and economic domination.
In summary, Global Education Magazine aims to disseminate creative, innovative and transversal educational experiences and ideas from the formal ambit, non formal and informal, to break with the existing positivist and technocratic paradigms of the past that reduce our students in passive citizens and a-critical consumers, because we have as educational horizon the freedom and the emancipation of human beings in any case and corner of the world.
